How it works
LAIMA turns your idea into original artwork and prints it on real products. You start from a photo, a moment, or just a line of text; our AI generates the design in the style you choose; then we print it on demand and ship it to you. Nothing is stock artwork and nothing is pre-made — every piece is generated for the person who ordered it.
Four starting points, all on the design page. My Pet — upload a photo of your dog, cat, or any animal. My Slogan — type a phrase and we turn the words themselves into the artwork. My Moment — upload a photo of a place, a trip, or anything you want to remember. My Portrait — upload a photo of a person. You can also upload finished artwork of your own if you'd rather skip the AI entirely.
Yes — that's the My Slogan tab. Type your phrase, pick a style (bold box logo, graffiti, retro, and more), and the AI turns the text itself into a graphic. It's not text typed on top of a shirt; the lettering is designed as artwork. Good for inside jokes, band-style wordmarks, group shirts, and gifts.
Yes — that's the My Moment tab. Upload a photo of a trip, a skyline, a concert, your garden, whatever it is. The AI reads the scene and reinterprets it as original artwork in the style you pick, rather than just printing the photo on fabric.
Three steps. Upload your photo on the design page, choose a style, and hit generate. You'll get artwork in seconds. From there you can regenerate, switch styles, or refine it with a prompt until you're happy, then pick the product you want it printed on.
A clear, well-lit photo where your subject is the main thing in the frame. Front-facing or slightly angled shots work best. Avoid very dark photos, heavy motion blur, or shots where the subject is tiny in the distance. A regular phone photo is more than good enough.
Yes. Generate as many versions as you like, switch styles, and tweak your prompt as often as you want. Every version you make is saved in your design history so you can go back to an earlier one. You only pay when you order a product.
Japanese Illustration, Watercolor, Box Logo, Street Graffiti, Retro, and more, with new styles added over time. Each style changes how the AI interprets your input, so the same photo can become several completely different pieces.
Ordering
Tees start at $35, oversized garment-dyed tees at $39, hoodies at $65, the women's micro-rib baby tee at $45, caps at $32, and tote bags at $39. Kids' tees start at $29, art posters at $25, and shaped pillows at $29. Larger sizes on some garments cost a couple of dollars more. Generating designs is always free — you only pay for the product.
Yes. Order two or more items and 10% comes off automatically at checkout. We also run occasional promo codes — if you have one, enter it in the cart and it's applied at checkout.
Production starts within about 24 hours, so contact support@laimadesign.com as soon as possible. If we reach it before printing begins we'll change or cancel it for you. Once printing has started the item can't be changed, because it's made specifically for you.
Because every item is custom-printed to order, we can't accept returns or exchanges for change of mind. If your order arrives with a print defect, is damaged, or isn't what you ordered, email us within 7 days with a photo and we'll reprint or refund it. See our Return Policy for the full terms.
No — you can design and check out as a guest. Creating an account is worth it though: it saves your designs so you can come back and reorder or refine them, keeps your order history in one place, and it's required if you want to share designs and earn commission.
Shipping
Your item is printed in about 3–5 business days, then ships in about 3–5 business days. Most US orders arrive within roughly 7–10 business days of ordering. You'll get a tracking link by email as soon as it ships.
Yes — free shipping on all US orders, with no minimum. The price you see on the product is the price you pay, plus sales tax where applicable.
We currently ship within the United States. Items are produced by our print partner in the US and shipped directly to you, which is why delivery is fast and shipping is free.
Design & quality
Most garments use direct-to-garment (DTG) printing, where the ink is applied straight into the fabric. It stays soft to the touch instead of sitting on the shirt like a plastic patch. Caps use DTF transfer, and pillows and posters use sublimation or archival paper printing.
Prints are vivid and made to last. Wash inside-out in cold water and tumble dry low, and don't iron directly on the print. Treated that way the design will outlast the garment.
The classic tee is Comfort Colors 1717 — 100% ring-spun cotton, garment-dyed, heavyweight, with that soft broken-in feel. The oversized tee is Bella + Canvas 4810 garment-dyed cotton, and hoodies are Independent Trading Co. SS4500, an 80/20 cotton-poly midweight. Every product page lists its exact fabric, fit, and care.
That's usually fine. The AI focuses on the main subject and rebuilds the artwork around it rather than copying your background. If a result still looks cluttered, regenerate or add a short prompt like "clean background" and it will clear up.
Yes. The AI reads the actual features in your photo — face shape, eye color, coat pattern, expression — and carries them into the artwork, which is why no two results are the same. If a detail comes out wrong, describe it in the refine box and generate again.
The clean, watermark-free file is available to download from your My Orders page after you buy the item it's printed on. Previews before purchase are watermarked.
Earning & sharing
Yes. Once you've placed an order you can publish that design to the community, and you'll get a share link. When someone buys through your link, you earn a commission. There's no application and no fee — see the Creator commission policy for the full rules.
Each item sold generates a commission pool of 10% of the item price actually paid. If someone clicks your link and buys a design of their own making, the full 10% is yours as the referrer. If they buy another creator's design, the pool is split evenly — 5% to you for bringing the customer and 5% to the designer who made the artwork. If someone finds your design in the community without a referral, you earn the full 10% as the designer.
A design link points at one specific design. Your creator link (laimadesign.com/?ref=yourcode) points at the whole store, so anything the visitor buys counts toward your commission. You'll find both under My Designs on the Community page.
Purchases made within 3 days of someone clicking your link are credited to you. If a visitor arrives through both a design link and a creator link, the design link decides who gets the referral.
No. Buying through your own link doesn't earn a commission — the program is there to reward you for bringing in other people.
Commission is earned once an order is paid, and is reversed if that order is cancelled or refunded. You can request a payout from your Earnings page once your balance reaches the minimum. You're responsible for any taxes owed on what you earn.
No. If you'd rather not design, you can still share your creator link — when someone clicks it and buys, you earn a commission on that sale.
Buying with confidence
You do. The artwork generated from your input is yours to use, print, and share. In return you're responsible for what you upload or type: don't use photos you don't have rights to, and don't use logos, characters, or trademarks belonging to someone else. We may remove community listings that infringe on others' rights.
A portrait artist or an Etsy seller usually delivers a digital file that you then have to print and frame yourself, and it takes days of back-and-forth. Here you see the artwork in seconds, iterate as much as you want, and we print and ship the finished product to you. You're buying the thing, not just the file.
The Community page shows real designs made by real customers on real products, sorted by what's selling. You can buy any of them as-is, or use one as inspiration and make your own.
The photo you upload is used to generate your design and isn't published anywhere. A design only becomes public if you choose to share it to the community after ordering — and even then it's the artwork that's shown, not your original photo.
